Congress Park Station Near Completion!

12/03/2008

If weather conditions permit, Metra’s contractors will open the street on the east side of Morton at Southview to make the sewer connection for the Congress Park project. The intersection will be closed beginning Thursday, December 4th, 2008, and opened back up Monday, December 8th.  Barricades will be placed at the east side of the Morton and Southview intersection, on Southview, west of the Morton and Harrison alley, and at the south end of the Morton and Cleveland alley.  We will move the barricades in order to gain access right up to the intersection for any Public Safety needs. We have asked Metra to use a quick cure cement so it will take 48 hours before the concrete poured at the intersection cures instead of 7 days.
